Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew
Session
What are Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions?
I have planned these sessions for those of you who want to have like-minded company when you are sewing. Sewing can be quite lonely, we are generally in a room on our own. I find that I can sometimes be much more inspired if I sew whilst chatting to others. What could be nicer than sewing with other people. This has not been possible during lockdown and even after lockdown it will still be great to “meet” new people and getting inspired by people we would never bump into in the “physical” world.
Each sewing session lasts for one hour, followed by 15 minutes of questions and answers. Every session includes a different project. The sessions are interactive, not the traditional online sessions that you have to watch on your own. You can enjoy sewing and chatting with everyone and I will be there to guide your sewing and answer any questions you may have along the way. Of course, you can also ask me questions, show me your sewing and chat during the sessions. All you need is a computer and internet connection. You can show me your sewing if you have a camera on your computer, tablet or mobile. Sessions take place over Zoom, which is free. When you book you will be sent a link, simply click on the link and it will take you through. It only takes a minute or so, but I will log on about 10 minutes before, so you can log on early and be ready to start on time.
When will the Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions be held?
There will be a course of 6 sessions. Each session you will sew a different item. You can join each session separately, or you can book on all six sessions at a discounted price.
How much will the Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions Cost?
The price for each individual session is £7.99, or save by booking all 6 and only pay for 5, total cost £39.95.
When will the Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions Start?
The new coffee and chat sessions will start on Thursday 22nd April 2021, at 11am with the "Let's Sew the Debbie Top.
What will the Coffee Chat Stitch and Sew Sessions be covering?
I am aiming to make them as varied as possible, from sewing a variety of women’s tops, leggings and underwear; to children’s clothing; bags and accessories. There should be something for everyone. Make yourself a cup of tea or coffee, and of course a slice of cake and let’s start sewing.
What will I need to join the sessions?
For the first 6 sessions you will need to have a sewing machine. In later sessions I will introduce topics that do not require the use of a sewing machine, such as embroidery and hand stitching techniques. You will need your fabric and for some sessions you will need a pattern. You can find all patterns on the website in the form of PDF downloads, or for those of you who want a more traditional pattern, some of the patterns are available in the traditional paper format. Both forms of the pattern include easy to follow step by step instructions.
